In the late ‘90s Jon Hellevig established two companies Avenir Law Partners which consisted of a legal advisory and accountancy service,and Avenir Executive Search. Hellevig is the founding partner for Hellevig, Klein & Usov. Mr Hellevig has been actively working on the Russian market since 1990 in various areas of corporate law and financial administration.

Prior to the merger of Avernir Law Partners and Mr Klein’s practice, Mr Klein practiced in the Moscow office of the American/Russian law firm Marks & Sokolov.  Daniel is an expert in legal issues relating to Western companies doing business in Russia and Europe. He has experience as outside legal counsel as well as internally at the corporate legal level. Mr. Klein has spearheaded the legal and business aspects of numerous company start-ups, Venture Capital/private equity investments, and geographic expansion of companies through acquisition and organic growth.

Artem Usov joined the predecessor of Hellevig, Klein & Usov in 2002 and is presently a general corporate lawyer with specialties in: Taxation, Corporate Governance, Labor, Immigration, Off-shore Company Structures & Incorporations (Russian and abroad). One of Mr Usov’s areas of expertise is helping Fortune 500 companies find the best practice approach to establishing the right corporate structure and the optimal off-shore structures in the applicable situation. In order to serve clients better, Artem keeps abreast of all aspects of the Russian Tax Code and follows closely all amendments and proposed amendments in order to keep clients up to date.
